Waterford defender Prendergast retires

Waterford stalwart Declan Prendergast has decided to quit senior inter-county hurling at the age of 30, it has been confirmed.

Prendergast has called time on a career which has seen him win four Munster SHC medals - 2002, 2004, 2007 and 2010, and a National League title in 2007.
