Canning shoulder injury threatens league campaign

Hurler Joe Canning could miss could miss the bulk of Galway's league campaign with a shoulder injury.

The former All Star received the damage playing for Limerick I.T. in yesterday's Fitzgibbon Cup game with G.M.I.T.

Canning picked up the injury in the second half but played on scoring 1-8 in total as the Shannonsiders eased through to the semi-finals.
