John Meyler's Kerry hurlers made history this afternoon as they claimed the county's first ever Waterford Crystal Cup win by overcoming IT Tralee.

The Kingdom staged a strong finish at Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney, notching seven of the final eight scores to win the preliminary round tie by 1-20 to 1-15.
