Kelly looks set for quick Déise return
Eoin Kelly could make a quicker than expected return to the Waterford panel after meeting with manager Michael Ryan earlier this week, it was reported today.
The pair are understood to have spoken on Monday with the tone of the conversation believed to be more conciliatory than their previous discussions, according to the Irish Examiner.
Former All Star Kelly was last week omitted from Ryan’s plans due to concerns about his fitness and a failure to meet with the team management about them.
However, the Fourmilewater man insisted the door wasn’t closed on 29-year-old Kelly.
Meanwhile, team sponsors 3 will this afternoon announce a new two-year deal with Waterford GAA at the senior county teams’ training base in Carriganore.
The news comes as a boon for the county board after there had been suggestions the association had come to an end last season. The telecommunications company has been associated with the county since the start of the 2010 season.
