GAA tweak Hurling League structure

The GAA have made some changes to the proposed structure for the 2012 Allianz Hurling League, following a meeting of the Central Council at Croke Park tonight.

The GAA have made some changes to the proposed structure for the 2012 Allianz Hurling League, following a meeting of the Central Council at Croke Park tonight.

The semi-finalists will be chosen as follows.

- The second and third teams in Division 1A will meet in one semi-final

- The top two teams from Division 1B will play off for the Division 1B title, with the winners of that game set to play the winners of Division 1A in a semi-final

Reigning champions Dublin, along with Kilkenny, Waterford, Tipperary, Galway and Cork, will be in Division 1A.

Meanwhile, Wexford, Offaly, Limerick, Clare, Laois and Antrim will contest Division 1B.
