Cork hurling boss 'not ruling out' dual players

Cork senior hurling boss Jimmy Barry-Murphy has said he will not rule any player out of the reckoning for a place in his 2012 squad, and that includes football stars Aidan Walsh and Ciarán Sheehan, according to Cork's Evening Echo newspaper.

However, JBM says he is still keeping on open mind on bringing in additional dual players.

“Down the line we certainly would like to look at the Aidan Walsh situation, because we would like to think that every player capable of playing senior intercounty hurling with Cork would make themselves available to us,” said Jimmy on the Square Ball show on 93.1 Life FM.

“In fairness to Aidan, Ciarán Sheehan and others, it is very, very difficult and there is no point hiding behind that,” he said.

“It is very different to when I was playing both codes but I would like to develop our relationship with all possible players that are available, and I certainly will not be ruling any player out from that point of view. We need every player available to us as a management team.”
