McCartan selects unchanged Down side

Down are set to field an unchanged team when they clash with Cork in tomorrow's All-Ireland SFC fourth round qualifier at Croke Park (throw-in 6pm).

Manager James McCartan has kept faith with the 15 players who started last weekend's three-goal victory over Antrim in Belfast.

In a notable positional switch, Anton McArdle is listed in midfield alongside Kalum King, with Declan Rooney now at wing back and Gerard McCartan in the left corner.

McCartan and Conor Maginn have retained their places in the side, having come in for Kevin Duffin and teenage forward Caolan Mooney last time out.

Experienced forward Liam Doyle has shaken off a hamstring injury to take his place on the right wing.

Mooney, who scored the Mourne men's third goal against Antrim, will be part of a strong-looking bench alongside the likes of Danny Hughes, Paul McComiskey, Peter Fitzpatrick and Aidan Carr.

Inspirational midfielder Ambrose Rogers could also make his seasonal debut as a substitute, having recovered from a long-term knee injury.

Down will wear an all-black strip for tomorrow's game, with Cork lining out in the white kit that they donned for last September's All-Ireland final win over the same opposition.
