The Cork team to play Laois in Saturday's All-Ireland SHC qualifier at O'Moore Park (throw-in 3pm) has been announced.

Manager Denis Walsh has made two changes to the side that exited the Munster Championship at the hands of Tipperary last time out.

Lorcan McLoughlin injured his thumb in a club game last Saturday, so his place at midfield has been taken by the experienced Tom Kenny.

Youghal's Bill Cooper comes in to make his full Championship debut at centre-forward, replacing the benched Cian McCarthy.

Michael Cussen, Jerry O'Connor and Cathal Naughton have to be content with bench roles once again, while Ronan Curran, who missed the Tipperary match with a knee injury, could see action as a substitute.

The Rebels are odds on favourites, rated 1/33 with some bookmakers, to beat Laois this weekend and progress to a home tie with Offaly.

CORK (SHC v Laois): Donal Óg Cusack; Shane O'Neill, Eoin Cadogan, Stephen McDonnell; John Gardiner, William Egan, Brian Murphy; Tom Kenny, Pa Cronin; Ben O'Connor, Bill Cooper, Niall McCarthy; Luke O'Farrell, Paudie O'Sullivan, Patrick Horgan.

Subs: Anthony Nash, Eoin Dillon, Conor O'Sullivan, Ronan Curran, James Nagle, Jerry O'Connor, Cathal Naughton, Cian McCarthy, Michael Cussen, Jamie Coughlan, Brian Corry.
