Late Dublin rally seals draw with Cats
Dublin 1-17 Kilkenny 3-11
Paul Ryan held his nerve to slot an injury-time point and keep alive Dublin’s chances of reaching the Division 1 final.
Dublin got on top early on at Croke Park and should have been further ahead at the break. Ryan’s 33rd-minute goal was quickly followed by an Eddie Brennan effort as Kilkenny closed the gap to 1-12 to 2-07.
The Cats looked to be turning the screw and when Matthew Ruth pounced for his second goal, their lead stood at 3-11 to 1-14. But the Dubs rallied and three successive scores from free-taker Ryan produced a draw.
