Galvin returns to Kingdom fold
2009 Footballer of the Year Paul Galvin will make his first start of the season for Kerry in Sunday's Allianz Football League Division 1 game against Monaghan at Inniskeen (throw-in 2.30pm).
Galvin made his first appearance of 2011 for Kerry in their recent clash with Armagh, with his introduction as a second half substitute helping them claim a 1-13 to 1-09 win.
The Finuge clubman will line out at left half-forward against Monaghan, having recovered fully from hip/groin surgery.
The Kerry line-up is missing Eoin Brosnan, Tomás Ó Sé, Donnchadh Walsh and Colm Cooper, who have all been rested by manager Jack O'Connor.
Free-taker Bryan Sheehan is another notable absentee through injury, while Tom O'Sullivan misses out with the 'flu.
With two rounds of matches to go, O'Connor's men lie fourth in the Division 1 table and are currently four points behind unbeaten leaders Dublin.
