O’Connor hangs up red shirt

Ireland’s most decorated GAA player, Mary O’Connor, has announced her retirement.

Cork’s dual star, from Killeagh, is to hang up her boots at inter-county level having played at the highest level for two decades — including in 18 All-Ireland finals, winning 12, but will continue to play with her club.
