National Hurling League Division 4 round-up

South Down and Longford were winners in Division 4 of the Allianz Hurling League, while Tyrone and Fermanagh drew in the other game.

Tyrone and Fermanagh shared the spoils - 1-10 to 3-04 - in Dungannon after controversy reigned at the full-time whistle.

Fermanagh believed that they had won the contest by a single point, but referee Garrett Duffy from Antrim adjudged that the final result was a draw.

Rory O'Donnell's charges began strongly and led by 3-03 to 0-05 at half-time with John Duffy (2-01) and Sean Corrigan (1-01) both registering goals.

Tyrone stormed back into contention on the restart. They held the Erne County side to just one second half point from Ryan Bogue, with Justin Kelly netting the hosts' goal.

At Liatroim Fontenoys, hosts South Down ran out a 6-11 to 1-11 winners over Leitrim. Mal Magee, Aiden Brown and Eoin McGuinness scored the South Down goals.

Meanwhile, Longford eased to a 6-23 to 1-01 victory over Cavan at Pearse Park to take their first win of the league campaign.
