Leinster council confirms Shield competitions

The Leinster Council have confirmed that it will hold Shield competitions respectively for teams which lose first round ties in the O'Byrne, Walsh and Kehoe Cup competitions this month.

The O'Byrne Cup senior football and Kehoe Cup hurling competitions proper begin this weekend, while hurling's Walsh Cup will commence on Sunday week (January 16).
