Conor Counihan's Rebels, who lifted the Sam Maguire Cup last month, will face Waterford if they can overcome the Banner men in their quarter-final tie.

Kerry, in the other half of the draw, will take on Tipperary for the second successive summer. The sides met in a Munster quarter-final this year, with the Kingdom claiming a 2-18 to 2-6 win.

Limerick, who are set to appoint Maurice Horan as their new manager, will have to defeat Kerry or Tipperary if they are to make it through to their third Munster decider in as many years.

The Munster draw was performed by Munster Council Chairman Sean Walsh and Deputy CEO Enda McGuane.
