Damian Cassidy has stepped down as Derry Senior Football manager, less that a fortnight after the Oak Leaf county side exited the GAA All-Ireland SFC, following an 11-point Round 3 qualifier defeat to Kildare.

Cassidy's departure was confirmed in a statement from the Derry GAA PRO Sean Gunning this afternoon.
