Cork City Council has voted 17-11 in favour of Cork GAA's proposal to purchase land for the redevelopment of Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Councillors narrowly backed the proposal, which will see the City Council grant the GAA six-and-a-half acres to allow for redevelopment of the crumbling stadium, while a Centre of Excellence and an all-weather pitch will also be added.
