Walsh hopeful duo will be fit
Cork Senior hurling manager Denis Walsh is confident that both Eoin Cadogan and Michael Cussen will be available for the Rebels’ Munster SHC tie against Tipperary on Sunday week at Pairc Uí Chaoimh.
However, Grenagh's Tom Kenny is still a major concern, after picking up an injury while in action for his club last weekend.
Walsh is hopeful Kenny will be fit to start.
"We don’t know (about Tom) with his hamstring. We might give him a bit of a workout at the start of next week, but if he gave it a twinge then you’re in trouble,” he said.
Cadogan, was ruled out of Walsh's plans for the closing stages of the league, after sustaining a foot injury; but should be fully fit for the clash against rivals Tipperary in 10 days time.
The Douglas man was initially ruled out for two months, but has made quick progress on his injury; and lined out for the Cork Senior's against their Intermediate counterparts in a challenge match last Monday night.
“He did a bit of work there at the weekend. He’s always in good shape anyway. He looks good,” Walsh said.
Meanwhile, Cussen is also set to feature for the Rebels quicker than expected, after a speedy recovery from a broken finger sustained in the Allianz National Hurling League final defeat to Galway.
