Waterford's unbeaten run under John Evans continued at Dr Cullen Park today as they secured a 1-11 to 1-11 draw with Carlow in Division 4 of the Allianz National Football League.

The sides were level on nine occasions in this game, including at 0-7 each at the break, with Eric McCormack (0-7) claiming four first half points for Carlow.

John Murphy netted a 40th minute penalty goal for Carlow as Luke Dempsey's charges edged 1-9 to 0-7 clear.

Waterford failed to give up with substitute Liam O'Lionain netting for the visitors to cut the gap to two points.

The Deise continued to rally as scores from Donnelly and O'Lionain tied the game with 23 minutes remaining.

In a keenly-contested encounter, Waterford were reduced to 13 men after Wayne Hennessy (second yellow) and Tony Grey (straight red) were both sent to the line.

Carlow also lost a player in the closing stages following the dismissal of JJ Smith, but held out to snatch a late equaliser.

At Pearse Park, a first-half goal from Jim O'Donovan gave visitors Limerick a 1-8 to 0-9 win over Longford.

Earlier this afternoon, Wicklow were comfortable 4-13 to 1-5 winners over London at Ruislip.

The visitors led by 1-7 to 0-3 at the interval, with Seanie Furlong netting their goal.

Furlong completed his hat-trick on the restart as Wicklow failed to ease up. Darren Hayden bagged the Garden County's fourth goal late on to ensure a facile 21-point win.

Meanwhile, Kilkenny's slump continued with the Cats hammered by Leitrim on a 4-18 to 1-4 scoreline at Carrick-on-Shannon
