O’Connor cannot condone premeditated Kennelly challenge

Kerry manager Jack O'Connor says there is no way he can condone Tadhg Kennelly's premeditated challenge on Cork's Nicolas Murphy in this years All-Ireland final.

In Kennelly's autobiography, he admits that his high-tackle on Murphy in the opening few seconds of the match was intended to lay down a marker for the Rebels.

However, O'Connor says that he had no knowledge of Kennelly's intentions.

The Kingdom boss says that the game plan was actually to avoid Cork's physicality.
