O'Connor and Perry share Sportswoman of the Month award

Camogie and Gaelic football champion Mary O’Connor and squash star Madeline Perry have shared The Irish Times/Irish Sports Council ‘Sportswoman of the Month’ award for September, it was announced today.

Madeline won for reaching the final of the British Squash Open in Manchester last month while Cork star Mary O’Connor took home the camogie and football All-Ireland title in the same month, captaining the football team to their fifth consecutive victory.
