O’Sullivan and Ryan win September GAA awards

Kerry corner back Tom O'Sullivan and Kilkenny goalkeeper PJ Ryan have been named as the GAA Players of the Month for September.

O'Sullivan capped an impressive season with a man-of-the-match performance in the All-Ireland football final.

Ryan, meanwhile, made four outstanding saves to keep Tipperary goalless and deny them victory over the Cats in the hurling final.

Elsewhere, the GAA has also belatedly announced the monthly winners for August, with Kilkenny's Henry Shefflin picking up the hurling award and Cork's Graham Canty taking the football award.
