Clare side to face Limerick announced
Clare manager Frank Doherty has handed debuts to three players ahead of the Banner County's Munster SFC clash with Limerick at Cusack Park, Ennis on Sunday.
Defenders Dean Ryan and Graham Kelly are awarded their first Championship starts after impressing during the league, while Kilmihil's Paul Reidy is Clare's sole Championship debutant in attack.
Full-back Conor Whelan of Doonbeg and forwards Michael O'Shea and Timmy Ryan have been given the all-clear to start, having recovered from injury.
Whelan has been struggling with tendonitis in the lead-up to Sunday's match while key corner-forward Michael O'Shea was recovering from a hamstring injury.
The side will be captained by David Russell, with the St Senan's, Kilkee clubman leading the attack from centre-half-forward.
