Laois ease past Dublin minors

Neil Foyle top-scored for Laois with 0-7 as the hosts battled bravely to ensure a three-point win over Dublin in the ESB Leinster MHC quarter-final at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise this afternoon.

A 26th minute goal from Naomhan O'Reardan gave Dublin a 1-2 to 0-3 half-time advantage with nothing more than two points separating the sides during the opening half

However, Laois took control takes to a Willie Dunphy goal five-and-a-half minutes after the restart and although Dublin half-forward Seanie McGrath placed the ball in the Laois net following a long range delivery from substitute Frankie Power late on, McGrath's effort was overruled as Laois held out to book a semi-final berth.
