Cooney denies discipline problem in GAA
New GAA president Christy Cooney has denied that the association faces a discipline problem, despite the high-profile brawl that marred a Meath Championship game on Sunday.
Players and officials from Navan O'Mahonys and Seneschalstown clashed after the final whistle of their county championship tie.
Cooney says he has no doubt that the situation will be dealt with properly by local GAA officials and punishments will be handed down if necessary.
