Farrell hopeful that grants scheme can be maintained

GPA Chief Executive Dessie Farrell is optimistic that the government grants scheme for GAA inter-county players can be maintained, although the players are prepared for a cut in funds to secure its future.

Over 30 TDs, including Mayo senior football manager John O’Mahony, turned up at Buswells Hotel this afternoon to lend their support to the cause.
