Leitrim were rampant as Kilkenny fell to another heavy defeat at Freshford in NFL Division 4.

The Cats' footballers could only manage one second half point as Leitrim bagged their fourth win of the campaign.

Once Leitrim opened the scoring through a James Glancy point after 36 seconds, the visitors never trailed in this game and they held a 0-7 to 0-0 lead before Graham Lawlor opened Kilkenny’s account.

A Daniel Beck goal gave Leitrim a 2-8 to 0-1 lead after 22 minutes, before goals from Glancy and Philip McGuinness ensured a 4-10 to 0-3 advantage.

Leitrim eased up in the second half, but still held too much in reserve for the home side.
