Cork Co Board to discuss manager appointment tonight
The Cork Co Board meets tonight to discuss how to proceed with the appointment of a new senior hurling manager.
The meeting follows the resignation of Gerald McCarthy on Tuesday night due to the long-running dispute between himself and the 2008 players.
McCarthy says he decided to resign after receiving death threats.
He also hit out at the striking players, accusing them of dishonouring the Cork jersey.
The Co Board has promised that structures will be put in place to ensure there is no repeat of the situation.
