Cork hurling manager McCarthy expected to confirm resignation

Cork hurling manager Gerald McCarthy is expected to confirm his resignation to the current squad at a meeting in Mallow later this evening.

The players had been due to train tonight, but the session has been called off and McCarthy has asked for a room to be made available so he can address the squad.
