Sporting fixtures called off due to snow

A number of sporting fixtures have been affected by today's weather.

In the Allianz NHL the following matches are off: Galway v Kilkenny, Offaly v Carlow, Laois v Down, Meath v Kildare, Wicklow v Armagh, Donegal v Longford, Tyrone v Fingal, Sligo v Monaghan and Roscommon v London.

The NFL match between Leitrim and Carlow has also been hit.

In Camogie all the day's games are off, as are the U-21 Leinster Championship matches between Wicklow v Longford, Wexford v Kildare and Louth v Dublin.

Elsewhere, the Irish Championship Rallycross at Mondello Park has been cancelled due to snow at the circuit and in the surrounding area.

The weather conditions have made travel to the circuit difficult for competitors and have also cause the stewards of the meeting to cancel the event on safety grounds.
