Carlow teach students a lesson

CARLOW 1-10 DIT 0-06

Carlow progressed through to the Kehoe Cup final as they put an end to DIT's run at Dr Cullen Park.

DIT led by 0-06 to 0-05 at the interval with Paul Ryan (0-03), Niall Kelly, Joe Clarke and Richard Butler notching the students' scores.

However the visitors struggled to maintain the pace on the restart as Carlow exerted total control.

Carlow captain Shane Kavanagh led from defence and was outstanding for the hosts with a Hugh Paddy O'Byrne goal paving the way for victory.
