Westmeath down DCU

WESTMEATH 0-22 DCU 1-07

Westmeath breezed through to the Kehoe Cup final with a convincing 12-point win over DCU at Cusack Park in Mullingar this afternoon.

Westmeath led by 0-10 to 1-03 at the interval, with Brendan Murtagh (0-05), Derek McNicholas (0-04) and Darren McCormack (0-04) hugely impressive for the hosts.

A Colm Foley goal kept DCU in touch, but the students were very much on the back-foot at the restart.

Murtagh, McNicholas and McCormack continued to impress for Westmeath as the hosts finished deserving winners.
