Kildare thrash Longford to go into final
KILDARE 5-20 LONGFORD 1-07
Kildare booked their place in the Kehoe Shield final following a 25-point mauling of Longford at St. Conleth's Park, Newbridge.
Longford opened the scoring thanks to a Conor Egan point, but this was the only time the visitors led in the semi-final.
A David Kennedy goal ensured a 1-09 to 0-03 half-time lead for the hosts who were wind-assisted on the restart.
Second-half goals for Kildare from David Cafferty, David Harney, Joe Gleeson and David Kennedy put the result game beyond any doubt.
