DIT need extra time to shake off Down

A strong display in the second period of extra-time earned DIT a Kehoe Cup semi-final berth, as they saw off Down in Newy.

Goals in normal time from Wexford's Niall Kelly and Brendan McInerney were not enough as Down took the game to extra-time on a 3-12 to 2-15 score-line.

Paul McAllister was the hosts' danger man up front throughout the game, but a goal from Dublin's Paul Ryan sealed a DIT win.
