Kilkenny showed a clinical edge as they rammed home five second-half goals to easily qualify for the Walsh Cup semi-finals at Parnell Park.

Anthony Daly's first competitive match in charge of Dublin finished in a heavy defeat as Richie Hogan (2-02), Michael Grace (1-03), Aidan Fogarty (1-01), Michael Rice (1-01) and Patrick Hogan (1-00) all netted for the goal-hungry Cats.

Grace's 30th-minute effort had Kilkenny leading by 1-07 to 0-07 at half-time.

The returning Alan McCrabbe (0-08) top-scored for the Dubs but goals from Fogarty and Richie Hogan, in the first five minutes of the second half, put the result beyond doubt.
