Meath boss Eamonn O'Brien has been dealt a major blow with the news that goalkeeper Brendan Murphy has signed for League of Ireland club Longford Town.

Meath boss Eamonn O'Brien has been dealt a major blow with the news that goalkeeper Brendan Murphy has signed for League of Ireland club Longford Town.

The 33-year-old has previously spent five years with former Premier League side Wimbledon.

He also played soccer for Dundalk before deciding to return to Gaelic football with the Royal County.
