GMIT find Sligo unstoppable

GMIT 1-09 Sligo 5-13, Williamstown

Kevin Walsh's Sligo side blitzed the students of GMIT, winning by 5-13 to 1-09 in a one-sided encounter at Williamstown.

Goals were the order of the day as Sean Davey and Adrian Marron both found the net for Sligo to take a 2-08 to 1-04 half-time lead.

GMIT upped their game in the second half and matched Sligo in the point-scoring stakes. However, the students were unable to gain parity in the search of goals, with a second half hat-trick securing Sligo's win.
