McCarthy writes to Cork players in bid to resolve row
Cork hurling boss Gerald McCarthy has written to 30 of the county's first-choice players in an effort to resolve the Rebels' latest row before Christmas.
The players are still refusing to line-out for McCarthy because of a row over how he was appointed to the position.
The manager's letter outlines his plans for the new season and details the make-up of the back-room team for 2009.
Cork's first competitive match will be against either Kerry or Waterford IT in the Waterford Crystal Cup on January 11.
