O'Brien named as new Meath manager

Eamonn O'Brien has succeeded Colm Coyle as the new manager of the senior Meath football team.

He was officially ratified last night by a county board committee.

As a player O'Brien represented the Royals, winning an All Ireland league medal in 1975.

Elsewhere, Brian Cody was returned by the county board as Kilkenny boss for an 11th season.
