Cork hurlers to break silence

The Cork hurlers will explain the motives behind their refusal to play for coach Gerald McCarthy tonight.

A lengthy statement seeking clarification on a number of issues is expected to be released to the media this evening.

The statement, which is still to be finalised, is expected to be hard-hitting in its criticism of the Cork County Board and Gerald McCarthy.
