Cork players gave full backing to McCarthy only last summer

It has emerged that the Cork senior hurling panel gave their unanimous backing to under-fire manager Gerald McCarthy earlier this year, and believed that they could win an All-Ireland under his stewardship.

That was revealed today in a document containing quotes from all the players and backroom staff.
