Only about half of the panel turned up for a meeting over the weekend to discuss the situation.

No vote was taken, but one senior squad member is quoted as saying there is a view among some players that the backroom team needs to be shaken up.

The hurling board meets tonight in Athenry to decide whether Loughnane should be offered a third year at the helm.
