Galway Board backs Leinster Championship plan
The Galway County Board has voted in favour of the county competing in the Leinster Hurling Championship from next year for a three-year trial period.
The motion was passed by just 12 votes last night, with 66 in favour and 54 against.
The next step in the process takes place at a special congress in Croke Park on Saturday, where the county will vote in support of the GAA's proposal.
