In picking his team for Sunday's GAA All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Kildare, Fermanagh manager Malachy O'Rourke has given a vote of confidence to the team that lost last weekend's Ulster final replay to Armagh.

The Ernesiders will take to the Croke Park pitch (throw-in 2pm) with an unchanged side, despite some below par individual displays in the Clones decider.

However, the Fermanagh management have tweaked their starting line-up - prior to throw-in - quite frequently this summer, so some late changes could be made for this weekend's clash.

Fermanagh are definitely without former All-Star Barry Owens and soccer star Shane McCabe for the Kildare game.

Owens sustained a knee ligament injury last Sunday and Glentoran manager Alan McDonald has stated that McCabe's involvement with the Fermanagh panel this season is now over.

McCabe is committed to preparing for the new Irish League campaign with the Glens.

Sunday's game will be the first ever championship clash between Fermanagh and Kildare.

O'Rourke is hoping to guide the county through to their third All-Ireland quarter-final, after their previous appearances in the last-eight in 2003 and 2004.

FERMANAGH (SFC v Kildare) - R Gallagher; S Goan, S McDermott, P Sherry; D Kelly, R McCluskey, T McElroy; M McGrath (capt), M Murphy; C McElroy, M Keenan, R Keenan; E Maguire, L McBarron, M Little.
