Sligo qualify for rackard final
Sligo 1-16 Fingal 0-11
Fingal's debut campaign in the Nicky Rackard Cup came to an end at Markievicz Park as Sligo became the first Connacht team to ever qualify for the third-tier final.
The sending-off of full-back Sean Sullivan just before half-time did little for Fingal's cause, although they were only 0-09 to 0-06 behind at the break.
Despite good scoring contributions from John Sheridan (0-03) and Emmet McCabe and David Moran (0-02 each), Fingal fell away in the closing stages with Sligo danger man Paul Seevers in prolific form.
