Donal Keoghan has stepped down as Cavan senior football manager, following the Breffni men's agonising All-Ireland SFC qualifier exit at the hands of Kildare.

Keoghan, who announced his decision last night, became the third football manager to quit his post in the space of 24 hours after both Luke Dempsey and Colm Coyle ended their reigns with Longford and Meath respectively.
