Sligo earn win over Warwickshire

Sligo's long journey to Pairc na hEireann in Birmingham ended fruitfully tonight as the Connacht side emerged as two-point winners over Warwickshire.

Keith Raymond fired home a second half goal to help the visitors to their second Nicky Rackard Cup win.

Warwickshire led by 1-06 to 0-06 at half-time thanks to a Wayne Healy goal and although Enda Barron added another major on the restart, Sligo were not to be denied.

The hosts had a late goal chance to claim victory, but blasted inches wide of the posts.
