Longford progress at the expense of Louth

NICKY RACKARD CUP GROUP 3A: LONGFORD 0-15 LOUTH 0-13

Longford edged Louth by just two points in a keenly-contested Nicky Rackard Cup tie at Pearse Park.

A victory mattered hugely for both sides' knockout chances, and as a result both teams were eager to take full points.

Declan Canning led the Longford charge with four excellent points, while Neil Casey also tried hard for Mattie McLoughlin's side, who bounced back well following their loss to Fingal in the previous round.
