Gardiner: Cork ready for SHC challenge

The first major silverware of the season may have gone to Tipperary but Cork captain John Gardiner says that the Rebel County are ready to push the Premier all the way in the queat for GAA All-ireland SHC honours in 2008.

The Rebel County side's NHL challenge may have fizzled out at the semi-final stage but that performance was merited consdiering the fact that the Rebels had a late start because of the strike over their backroom situation.
