Down return to winning ways
Down 4-13 Limerick 1-15
Down dented Limerick's chances of avoiding the drop to Division 4 as they grabbed a glut of goals at Newry.
Beaten by Leitrim last weekend, Down returned to winning ways with an 18th-minute penalty from Aidan Carr setting them on their way.
Benny Coulter, who was fouled for the penalty, set up Daniel Hughes' goal before the break and Down's John Clarke bagged two majors in the second half.
A tussle with Jack Lynch resulted in Limerick's Thomas Cahill being shown a straight red card.
