Kerry crowned U21 football champions
Kerry 0-15 Tipperary 2-7, Ardfinnan
Kerry overhauled Tipperary at Ardfinnan to be crowned Munster Under-21 football champions for the first time since 2002.
The Kingdom leaked a 10th-minute goal to Tipp talisman Brian Fox but with Paul O'Connor (0-4) and Paddy Curran (0-3) leading their scoring, Sean Geaney's team prevailed.
Recent senior debutant Tommy Walsh also made a big contribution, particularly during the early part of the second half when Tipp were outscored by 0-6 to 0-1.
However, a late Sean Carey goal did raise hopes of a Tipp comeback.
